After breakfast, at 10:00 AM, the local guide from Fez will come to your accommodation to begin the tour in the Medina of Fez el-Bali, one of the largest medieval sites currently existing in the world. The entire medina is declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its souks and medieval alleys.
We will enter through the Bab Boujloud gate, explore the souk with its narrow, labyrinthine streets while frequently dodging mules loaded with large bales. We will visit the Bou Inania Madrasa, with its valuable cedar wood craftsmanship, stuccoes, and marble and onyx decorations; the Zaouia of Moulay Idriss, founder of the city; the Andalusian quarter with its mosque and the Es-Sahrij Madrasa; the former Dar Batha Palace, in the Hispano-Moresque style dedicated to the arts and traditions of Fez; the Al-Qarawiyyin Mosque and University, one of the oldest in the world, founded in 859 by Fatima al-Fihri; and the tanners' and dyers' quarter, whose techniques have not changed since the Middle Ages. In the afternoon, the guide will drop you off at your accommodation or in the medina.

Accommodation in a riad with breakfast

After breakfast, we depart from Fez to the Merzouga desert, passing through Ifrane (the Switzerland of Morocco), where you will have 20 minutes to take photos and take a walk around the town square. We will arrive at the cedar forests of Azrou, where there are wild monkeys. It will be a great opportunity to take photos of Morocco’s natural landscape. We’ll have lunch in the Berber village of Zaida. We will continue crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains, enjoying the scenery of Midelt until we reach the small town of Rich. We will continue to the Ziz Valley, where we will make a panoramic stop for photos of the valley. In the afternoon, we will arrive at Erfoud, where we begin to feel the air of the Sahara with the Tafilalet oasis. We will continue on to Merzouga, where we will swap the vehicle for camels to spend the night in haimas in the Erg Chebbi desert near Merzouga.

We will wake up early to watch the sunrise on top of a dune and then we will have a leisurely breakfast. There is the option to return to the hotel by camel or by 4x4. We will continue the route, or you can also enjoy some time by the pool or visit the dunes if the weather is good. You can also go on a Quad or Buggy excursion through the Erg Chebbi dunes.
Afterward, we will take the 4x4 and head to the village of Khamlia, where the Gnawa live—musicians of sub-Saharan origin (Black Africa)—who will delight us with music and dances while we sip mint tea (Berber whiskey). You can buy a CD of their music from them, which costs 10€, or give them a tip of at least 5€.
We will then continue to Taouz, from where we will take the old Paris-Dakar Rally track until we see some wonderful Rock Engravings. We will pass through the village of Jdaid, where we will have lunch at the home of a Berber family (Berber Pizza and tea), and where we can also get a henna tattoo done by someone specialized in that art (a tip must be given to the henna artist). If you are interested, you can take a stroll around the village of Ouzina and its oasis. In the afternoon, we will head to the hotel set in the Ouzina desert to drop off our luggage, and we can also go to the Ouzina dunes to watch the sunset and enjoy this wild and pure desert in southern Morocco.

Accommodation at the Kasbah Hotel Porte de Sahara Ouzina, including dinner and breakfast

We will wake up and have breakfast at 9:00 AM. We will depart from the hotel toward the Dades on a 6-day, 5-night excursion starting from the Ouzina desert, passing through Rissani, one of the oldest cities in Morocco and the capital of the Alaouite dynasty. There, we will make a stop at the exit of the town to take a photo of the "desert gate."
We will continue our way to Erfoud, where there is the possibility of visiting the fossilized marble factory, before heading toward the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad. Afterward, we will arrive at the Todra Gorges, where the riverbed has carved out vertical gorges that are a paradise for climbers. We will have lunch there and take a walk to enjoy the gorges. In the afternoon, we will continue toward the Dades Valley, where we will spend the night.

Hotel accommodation with dinner and breakfast

After breakfast, we head toward the Valley of the Roses, where we will make a stop if you are interested. Afterward, we will continue our journey toward Skoura (Route of a Thousand Kasbahs) and arrive in Ouarzazate, the city of cinema, where we will stop at the Kasbah of Taourirt to take a panoramic photo. Then, we will head to the movie studios, where we will make another photo stop, before continuing our route toward the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou (an ancient 11th-century fortress, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site). Crossing the Anti-Atlas mountains via the Tizi N'Tinifift pass, we will arrive at the famous village of Ait Ben Haddou at around 12:00 PM, with free time to visit the Kasbah and have lunch. In the afternoon, we will return toward MARRAKECH. Crossing the High Atlas while traveling to the red city of Morocco (Marrakech), we will provide a transfer to as far as the car can reach, marking the end of our 6-day, 5-night excursion service from Tangier to Marrakech via the Merzouga desert.
