This fascinating 4-day tour from Marrakech to the Merzouga Desert will allow you to discover the magic of southern Morocco while travelling through spectacular landscapes and places rich in history. During the journey, we will cross the impressive High Atlas Mountains, visit ancient kasbahs, explore valleys filled with palm groves and enjoy the unique experience of sleeping beneath the stars in the Sahara Desert.

Tour Plan
Morning departure from your riad or hotel in Marrakech towards the High Atlas Mountains. We will cross the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 metres), making panoramic stops along the way to enjoy the views.
We will then continue towards the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a spectacular example of traditional architecture recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and used as a filming location for numerous movies.
After the visit, you will have the option to stop for lunch before continuing towards Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Desert.” We will then travel through the Valley of Roses before arriving at the Dades Valley, where you will spend the night.
Overnight accommodation at a hotel or riad, including dinner and breakfast.
After breakfast, we will depart for the Todra Gorges, an impressive canyon with towering vertical walls that is especially popular among travellers and rock climbers.
We will then continue towards Erfoud, known as the gateway to the desert, travelling through arid landscapes and traditional Berber villages. Lunch will be served along the way.
We will arrive in Merzouga in the afternoon, where you will begin an unforgettable experience: a camel ride across the dunes of Erg Chebbi to admire the spectacular sunset.
Upon arrival at the desert camp, you will enjoy a traditional dinner, Berber music around the campfire and a magical night beneath a star-filled sky.
Overnight accommodation at the desert camp, including dinner and breakfast.
We recommend waking up early to enjoy the sunrise over the desert. After breakfast, you will return by camel to the starting point.
We will then depart for Rissani, the region’s former capital, known for its lively traditional souk. The journey continues through Alnif and the impressive Draa Valley, the longest valley in Morocco and famous for its vast palm groves.
After lunch along the way, we will continue towards Ouarzazate, crossing the Anti-Atlas Mountains.
Overnight accommodation at a hotel in Ouarzazate.
After breakfast, you will have the option to visit the famous film studios in Ouarzazate.
We will then continue towards the Kasbah of Telouet and the picturesque Ounila Valley, a less-travelled route renowned for its exceptional beauty.
We will return to Marrakech, crossing the High Atlas Mountains once again.
