Tour Plan
We will pick you up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech to begin our journey south. We’ll cross the majestic High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m), enjoying breathtaking panoramic views and passing traditional Berber villages along the way.
We’ll continue to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, one of Morocco’s most iconic landmarks and a filming location for numerous movies.
After an optional lunch in the area, we’ll continue to Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Desert.” From there, we’ll travel through the Valley of Roses before arriving in the Dades Valley.
Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel or riad in the Dades Valley.
After breakfast, we’ll depart for the impressive Todra Gorge, a spectacular canyon with towering vertical cliffs that attracts visitors from around the world.
We’ll continue through traditional Berber villages and towns such as Tinjdad, Jorf, and Erfoud, where the desert atmosphere begins to unfold.
Arrival in Merzouga, located at the foot of the Erg Chebbi dunes.
Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel or riad near the dunes.
After breakfast, we’ll spend the day exploring the desert.
You’ll have the opportunity to visit nearby villages such as Khamlia, famous for its Gnawa music, and Hassi Labied. We’ll also take a 4x4 tour across the Erg Chebbi dunes, visit nomadic families, and learn about their traditional way of life.
You may also enjoy an optional traditional lunch featuring Berber pizza.
In the afternoon, you’ll take a camel ride across the dunes and admire the spectacular desert sunset.
Upon arrival at the desert camp, an unforgettable experience awaits you: a traditional dinner, Berber music around the campfire, and a magical night beneath the star-filled Sahara sky.
Overnight stay in a traditional desert tent at the camp.
We recommend waking up early to enjoy the spectacular sunrise over the desert. After breakfast, we’ll depart for Rissani, the former capital of the region and birthplace of Morocco’s Alaouite dynasty.
We’ll then continue toward the Draa Valley, renowned for its vast palm groves and considered one of the most beautiful valleys in Morocco.
After an optional lunch along the way, we’ll travel through the striking landscapes of the Anti-Atlas Mountains before arriving in Ouarzazate.
Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel in Ouarzazate.
After breakfast, we’ll return to Marrakech, once again crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass and enjoying the spectacular scenery along the way.
