After breakfast, we will proceed with a guided tour (with a local guide) of the city of Fez. As an imperial city, it has successfully maintained its traditions, craftsmanship, trades, and its university—one of the oldest in the entire world. Founded in 808, it served as the capital of the kingdom on multiple occasions. The labyrinth of streets in the preserved medieval city, called Fez el-Bali, is considered the largest pedestrian urban area in the world where cars cannot circulate, transporting us to a completely different world straight out of a movie. In addition to the medina, the great city of Fez has two other main parts: the 13th-century city of Fez el-Jedid and the Ville Nouvelle, where the business center is located with modern avenues, hotels, and restaurants. The most prominent places in Fez are undoubtedly the medina, the souks, the Royal Palace, the Mellah (the old Jewish quarter), and the oldest university in the world, the University of Al-Qarawiyyin. The tour also covers the area of the leather tanneries, including the famous Chouwara Tannery, which dates back to the Middle Ages and is considered the most important in North Africa. Not for nothing was Fez considered "the city of Faith and Knowledge," becoming the cultural capital and one of the most important religious centers of the country. We will explore its medina, known as El Bali—one of the largest medieval sites in the world and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site—with its souks and narrow alleys, along with the Royal Palace and its Jewish quarter. We’ll set off early to see the lakes of Ifrane. We’ll pass through the cedar forest and see some monkeys. We’ll continue along the road and cross the Middle Atlas, stopping in the village of Midelt for lunch, before carrying on to Lake Errachidia,
passing through the Ziz Valley and its traditional villages, until we reach Erfoud. We’ll pass through numerous valleys and ancient Berber villages to

Heading toward one of the tracks most frequently used by the former Paris-Dakar Rally, we will pass through several border villages between Morocco and Algeria. In the afternoon, we will arrive at the Erg Chebbi dunes, where we will switch our 4x4 vehicle for camels to head to the Berber camp. There, we will spend a magical night in haimas and experience firsthand what it's like to sleep under a blanket of millions of stars, accompanied by the warmth of the fire and the rhythm of Berber drums, while enjoying a traditional Berber dinner.

"Appointment with the Sunrise": since you are in the desert, it is recommended to wake up early to walk to the highest dune around the camp to enjoy the sunrise and this relaxing landscape that nature offers us. We will return by camel to the village of Merzouga. We will head towards Erfoud, where there is also the possibility of visiting the fossilized marble factory before continuing towards the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad. After several stops to enjoy the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, the Valley of Roses, and the great Palmeral of Skoura, we will arrive in Ouarzazate and visit the Kasbah of Taourirt—former residence of the Glaoui or Pasha of Marrakech—as well as the Film Studios and the Cinema Museum if you are interested. Here we will spend the night at Dar Chamaa Kasbah Riad.

After breakfast, we will head to the fortified village of Ait Benhaddou, where we will visit its famous Kasbah (declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1986). Several famous films have been shot in this spectacular setting, such as Gladiator, Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra (Obelix), Sahara, The Passion of the Christ (by Mel Gibson), etc. Lunch in the village, and in the afternoon we will depart for Marrakech, crossing the Tizi n'Tichka mountain pass with stops to take photos. Here we will leave behind the lunar landscape, which will give way to predominant green and ocher colors, etc. Arrival in Marrakech at around 18:00 more or less, and transfer to the selected Riad: Riad Bahia Salam.

Day in Marrakech with a local guide. Let yourself be carried away by the charisma of the "Red City," one of the most important cities in Morocco. The city boasts the largest traditional market in the country and one of the busiest squares in Africa and the world, Jemaa el-Fnaa. Feast your senses as you surrender to an unrepeatable amalgamation of aromas, sounds, and sensations. The city also offers endless places to wander and enjoy, including Le Jardin Secret, the Menara Gardens, the Saadian Tombs, strolls through the medina and the Mellah (the old Jewish quarter), the Bahia Palace, and a tour of the city walls, along with time to visit the recently restored Ben Youssef Madrasa. Our certified local guide will come to your accommodation to begin a guided tour where we will discover the beauties held within Marrakech, the city that gives the country its name. Its palaces and gardens will give us an idea of the splendor of the different dynasties that ruled the city and the rest of the country. In the afternoon, free time to visit the medina and its various artisan areas, practice the "art" of bargaining, or enjoy a cup of tea on one of its rooftop viewpoint terraces. Breakfast and the morning at your leisure until the agreed time, followed by a transfer to the airport, where we’ll accompany you to check in your luggage and show you to the boarding gate.
