In the morning, we will continue our route toward Fes, one of the four Imperial Cities alongside Marrakech, Meknes, and Rabat. First, we will head toward Meknes, the most modest of the imperial cities. Chosen by Sultan Moulay Ismail as his imperial capital at the end of the 17th century, we will enter the city through the grand monumental gate "Bab Mansour" to visit the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. The mausoleum is one of the most impressive buildings in the city. We will have lunch and then proceed to the Roman ruins of Volubilis, famous for its mosaics and temples, where we will enjoy a guided visit. At the agreed time, we continue toward Fes. In Morocco, Fes is considered the religious and cultural center of the country. Its university, renowned for the study of Arabic and Islamic religion, makes it a gathering point for a large number of Moroccan students. Upon arrival, we will have lunch, take a brief rest, and visit the medina. The city is divided into three areas: Fes el-Bali (the old city inside the walls), Fes-Jdid (the new area housing the Mellah, or Jewish Quarter), and the Ville Nouvelle (New Town), the French area in the northwest of the city. The medina of Fes el-Bali, the larger of the city's two medinas, is the largest pedestrian zone in the world and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981. Dinner and overnight stay.

Fes is the oldest of Morocco's imperial cities. After breakfast, we continue with a guided tour (with a local guide) of the city of Fes—an Imperial City that has managed to preserve its traditions, craftsmanship, and ancient trades. Founded in 808, it served as the kingdom's capital on several occasions. The maze of streets in the preserved medieval city (known as Fes el-Bali) is considered the largest car-free urban area in the world, transporting us to a completely different time. In addition to the ancient medina, the great city of Fes comprises two other main areas: the 13th-century district (Fes el-Jdid) and the Ville Nouvelle (the modern business center featuring contemporary avenues, hotels, and restaurants).

The most prominent highlights in Fes are undoubtedly its medina, the souks (markets), and the tanneries quarter. The largest of these tanneries is Chouara, built in the 11th century. We will also visit the Royal Palace, the Mellah (the historic Jewish quarter), and the oldest university in the world, the University of Al-Qarawiyyin, founded in 859. Not without reason, Fes was historically regarded as "the city of Faith and Knowledge," becoming Morocco's cultural capital and one of its most vital religious centers. During the tour, we will explore its medina (Fes el-Bali)—one of the largest medieval sites in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site—with its vibrant souks and narrow alleyways, alongside visits to the Royal Palace and the Jewish Quarter.

Early departure to see the lakes of Ifrane. We will pass through the Azrou cedar forest, where we will have the opportunity to see the Barbary macaques. Continuing our journey across the Middle Atlas, we will stop in the town of Midelt for lunch before proceeding toward Lake Errachidia, traveling through the Ziz Valley with its traditional villages until we reach Erfoud.

From there, we will drive along off-road tracks to reach the desert, where we will trade 4x4 vehicles for camel power. The dromedaries will take us deep into the sand dunes to witness an unforgettable sunset. This night will be truly special: we will sleep among the dunes in nomad tents, just as the Berbers do. Here, you will enjoy a traditional Berber dinner, live drum music, and a starry night sky unlike anything you have ever seen. Dinner and overnight stay in an unforgettable haima (desert tent) with a private bathroom.

"An Appointment with the Sunrise"—since you are in the desert, we recommend waking up early to walk to the highest dune around the camp to enjoy the sunrise and the relaxing landscape that nature offers. We will then return on dromedaries to the village of Merzouga.

After a delicious breakfast, it is time to say goodbye to the desert as we set off for Rissani, where we will visit its market (if we are lucky enough to arrive on a market day: Tuesday, Thursday, or Sunday). We will continue toward Erfoud, where there is also the option to visit a fossilized marble factory, before heading on to the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad.

Next, we will reach one of the main highlights of the High Atlas: the Todra Gorges. The bed of the Todra River has carved a canyon of sheer vertical walls of massive proportions and great beauty—a climber's paradise and a truly unique place. After lunch at the site, a 30-minute walk is recommended to take in and enjoy the gorges in detail.

In the afternoon, we will continue toward the Dades Valley, also known as the Valley of Figs. Passing through Boumalne Dades, we will stop at the famous "Monkey Paws" rock formations. Dinner and overnight stay in the Dades Gorges.

After breakfast, we will enjoy one of the best views of the Dades Valley from one of the most strategic vantage points in the mountains. From there, you will be able to admire the many picturesque kasbahs dotting the landscape before setting out along a road lined with several fascinated, historic strongholds.

Today's route takes us across the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n'Tichka pass. Standing at 2,260 meters (7,415 feet) above sea level, it is the highest mountain pass in Morocco, offering a wonderful opportunity to take in breathtaking views of villages nestled into the mountainsides.

We will visit the city of Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the desert; its Berber name translates to "without noise" or "without confusion." Here, we find the Kasbah of Taourirt and famous film studios—often referred to as the Moroccan Hollywood—where countless movies have been shot.

Next, we head to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best-preserved earthen strongholds in all of Morocco. It is a true architectural gem built of adobe, set against a idyllic and romantic backdrop. This spectacular setting has served as the filming location for numerous iconic movies, including Lawrence of Arabia, The Mummy, Gladiator, Asterix & Obelix, and The Jewel of the Nile.

Our journey continues along the Route of the Thousand Kasbahs, renowned as one of the most interesting and scenic routes in Morocco. Along the way, we will admire a series of adobe fortresses featuring crenellated towers and intricate brickwork—a landscape that moves you with its striking contrasts, vibrant light, and deep silence.

Day in Marrakech with a local guide. Allow yourself to be captivated by the charisma of the "Red City," one of the most important cities in Morocco. The city features the largest traditional market in the country and one of the busiest squares in Africa and the world, Jemaa el-Fna. Delight your senses by surrendering to an unforgettable blend of aromas, sounds, and sensations.

The city also offers an endless array of places to wander and enjoy: the Majorelle Garden, the Menara Gardens, the Saadian Tombs, strolls through the medina or the Mellah (the historic Jewish quarter), and a walk along the city walls.

Our certified local guide will meet you at your accommodation to begin a guided tour revealing the beauty of Marrakech, the city that gives the country its name. Its palaces and gardens offer a glimpse into the splendor of the various dynasties that once ruled the city and the nation.

In the afternoon, you will have free time to explore the medina and its various artisan districts, practice the "art" of bargaining, or enjoy a cup of tea on one of its panoramic rooftop terraces. Overnight stay with breakfast included.

Breakfast and the morning at your leisure until the agreed time, then transfer to Menara Airport, where we’ll accompany you to check in your luggage and show you to the boarding gate. This marks the end of our services and the end of your trip.
