Tour Plan
Morning departure from your riad or hotel in Marrakech heading toward the High Atlas Mountains. We will cross the Tizi n'Tichka pass (2,260m), enjoying spectacular panoramic views and traditional Berber villages.
Arrival at the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, an impressive ksar declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After the visit, enjoy optional lunch in the area.
We will then continue toward Ouarzazate, known as "the gateway to the desert," with the opportunity to visit the local film studios.
Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel or riad in Ouarzazate.
After breakfast, departure toward the Skoura oasis to visit the famous Kasbah of Amridil, one of the finest examples of traditional architecture in southern Morocco.
We will continue through the Valley of the Roses, renowned for its Damask rose crops and traditional artisan products.
From there, we will head toward the Dades Valley and the stunning Todra Gorges, where we will stop to admire this spectacular canyon.
In the afternoon, we will arrive at the desert of Merzouga, right at the foot of the Erg Chebbi dunes.
Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel near the desert.
After breakfast, we explore the desert region by 4x4 vehicle:
- Visit to the village of Khamlia, famous for its traditional Gnawa music.
- Meeting with nomadic families to learn about their way of life.
- Journey across the hamada (stone desert).
- Optional lunch featuring a tasting of traditional Berber pizza.
- In the afternoon, a camel trek through the Erg Chebbi dunes (approx. 1 hour to 1.5 hours), enjoying a breathtaking sunset.
- Arrival at the desert camp, where you will enjoy a traditional dinner, live Berber music, and an unforgettable night under the stars.
- Overnight stay in a nomad tent (haima) in the desert camp.
After breakfast, we’ll depart for Fez.
We’ll stop in Rissani, an ancient imperial city known for its lively traditional market (depending on the day).
We’ll then continue to Erfoud, famous for its fossils, before travelling through the spectacular Ziz Valley, with its vast palm groves.
After an optional lunch stop in Midelt, we’ll continue toward the Middle Atlas Mountains.
In Azrou, we’ll stop in the cedar forests to see Barbary macaques living in the wild. We’ll then continue to Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco.”
Arrival in Fez in the afternoon.
Overnight stay in a riad with breakfast included.
After breakfast, you’ll enjoy a guided tour of the imperial city of Fez, one of the oldest and most fascinating cities in the Islamic world.
You’ll discover:
- The Medina of Fez, a UNESCO World Heritage Site
- Bab Boujloud Gate
- The Bou Inania and Al Attarine madrasas
- Al Quaraouiyine Mosque and University
- The famous Chouara Tanneries
- The traditional souks and artisan quarters
You’ll have the afternoon free to continue exploring the city, visit the Royal Palace, or discover the Jewish Quarter, known as the Mellah.
