Tour Plan
At 08:00 AM, we will pick you up from your accommodation or agreed meeting point to begin this fascinating route towards southeastern Morocco. From the very first miles, the landscape begins to transform as we head into the majestic High Atlas Mountains.
We will cross the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka mountain pass (2,260 m / 7,415 ft), the highest road pass in North Africa, whose name in the Berber language (Tamazight) means "difficult pass." Along the way, we will make several scenic stops to take in the views, photograph the valleys, and observe traditional Berber villages perched on the mountainsides.
En route, we will visit a women's Argan oil cooperative, where you will learn about the artisanal production process of this valuable product, as well as its cosmetic and culinary uses.
We will continue to the impressive Kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This spectacular fortified ksar has been the set for numerous film productions such as Gladiator, The Mummy, and Game of Thrones. Here, you will have time to enjoy lunch and explore its historic narrow streets.
Next, we will head toward Ouarzazate, known as the "Gateway to the Desert" and Morocco's film capital. Optionally, you can visit its famous movie studios or stop in front of the Taourirt Kasbah.
The route continues along the famous Road of the Thousand Kasbahs, crossing the Skoura palm grove and the beautiful Valley of the Roses, renowned for its spring festival and handcrafted rose products.
Finally, we will arrive at the Dades Valley, where we will stay at a hotel with privileged views. If you'd like, you can take a peaceful walk through the surrounding nature and discover hidden spots such as nearby waterfalls.
Accommodation: Hotel (Dinner and breakfast included).
After breakfast, we will head toward Tinghir and the spectacular Todra Valley, making a scenic stop before venturing into its famous gorges.
The Todra Gorges are one of the most impressive landscapes in southern Morocco, with vertical rock walls reaching up to 300 meters (984 feet) high. You will have time to walk through them, enjoy the surroundings, and take photographs.
We will continue through Berber villages until reaching Malaab, where you can visit a local shop run by women, try on traditional clothing, or purchase souvenirs.
After lunch en route, we will drive toward Erfoud, famous for its fossil and marble craftsmanship, before continuing into the desert.
Upon arrival in Merzouga, at the foot of the Erg Chebbi dunes, you will swap your vehicle for camels to begin an unforgettable sunset trek across the golden dunes.
The day culminates in a magical night at a traditional camp in the heart of the desert:
- Typical dinner under the stars
- Live Berber music around the campfire
- An incomparable starry sky
Dinner and overnight stay in desert tents (haimas).
We will wake up early to watch the sunrise from the top of a dune—one of the most special moments of the trip.
After breakfast, you can try sandboarding or return by camel or 4x4. There is also the option to do quad or buggy tours (optional activity).
We will begin a 4x4 tour around the desert surroundings:
- Visit with nomad families and enjoy traditional tea
- Exploration of the old mining village of Mifis
- Stop in Khamlia, where we will enjoy live Gnawa music
We will continue toward Taouz and tracks of the former Dakar Rally until reaching Jdaid, where we will have lunch at the home of a Berber family (an authentic experience).
In the afternoon, we will head to the untouched desert of Ouzina, a less touristy area of great natural beauty. You can walk through the dunes, climb a hill, or simply enjoy the absolute silence of the desert.
Accommodation: Hotel (Dinner and breakfast included).
After breakfast, we will depart for Rissani, the ancient historical capital and cradle of the Alaouite dynasty. We will visit its authentic traditional souk, which is especially lively on market days.
We will continue across arid landscapes and southern villages until reaching Alnif, where we will stop for lunch.
In the afternoon, we will arrive in Nkob, known as the village of "45 Kasbahs," surrounded by oases and palm groves. A peaceful and authentic place where you can enjoy the sunset.
Upon your arrival, you will be welcomed with traditional mint tea. Free time to rest, take a stroll, or relax by the pool.

We will make several stops to take in the landscape before crossing the Anti-Atlas Mountains via the Ait Saoun pass (1,660 m / 5,446 ft).
We will continue toward Ouarzazate, and from there, begin our return journey to Marrakech, crossing the High Atlas once again through the Tizi n’Tichka pass and taking in spectacular mountain views.
